North Tyneside Coast Photography Workshop

Join Jason Friend in his home patch as he shares his intimate knowledge of the North Tyneside Coast - gained from numerous years photographing the highlights of this often overlooked region.

We will meet at the stunning St Mary's Lighthouse and Island, Whitley Bay, at 10.00AM, where we will spend a few hours exploring the coast and lighthouse. After a brief break for lunch, we will be transported to the impressive remains of the Tynemouth Priory and Castle, where we will explore and photograph the historic ruins until the workshop finishing time at 4.00PM.

This workshop will give you the opportunity to practice your architectural and landscape photography along the North Tyneside Coast. The composition of images will be discussed in addition to the technical requirements for successful landscape photography such as the use of filters, the benefits and disadvantages of using a tripod and essential focusing techniques.

The workshop fee includes all transport on the day but does not include the admission charge for the Tynemouth Priory and Castle, your transport to the meeting place, car parking, insurance or photographic equipment/materials. A reasonable level of fitness and appropriate equipment will be required for this workshop.
