Gavin Gough is an award-winning travel photographer with several years experience as a professional freelancer. He has travelled the world, photographing in North and South America, South East Asia, the South Pacific, Australasia, Tibet and India but contends that Dorset remains his favourite location. Despite having fought off muggers in Rio de Janeiro and being held at gunpoint by Maoist rebels in Nepal his enthusiasm for travel remains undiminished and he's rarely happier than when planning his next trip.
His work regularly appears in newspapers, magazines and brochures around the world. He has gained a reputation for engaging travel portraiture, his work has been exhibited in the UK and been recognised with several awards, including a place in the prestigious AOP Open.
Gavin's written articles on photographic technique have appeared in several UK publications including, most recently, Outdoor Photography, Digital Photographer and Real Travel.
Gavin is a member of the Association of Photographers, the National Union of Journalists, Editorial Photographers UK, the Bureau of Freelance Photographers and a Licentiate member of the Royal Photographic Society.
Wherever he is, he likes nothing more than a decent cup of tea and claims that if he had a motto it would be the Japanese proverb, "A man with no tea in him is incapable of understanding truth and beauty".

The Jason Friend Image Library is a searchable online stock photography library featuring the work of the award winning UK photographer, Jason Friend, and other worldwide photographers.
The library currently holds 13426 rights managed images that can be licensed and downloaded directly from this site. All of the images can be purchased immediately with credit card via the Paypal service. Alternatively, potential picture buyers are also invited to apply for a free 60 day invoice account. This account allows the registered user full access to the library with the option to license and download images immediately - meaning that all of the stock photos are available 24/7! Registered users can also defer the rights managed license payment for up to 60 days and can choose to pay by cheque, bank transfer or credit card.
